I have often commented on the fact that orchids grow on trees in the rain forest. They don't grow in the ground. They don't grow in pots.
So, why do we plant-lovers buy expensive pots and jam our orchids into them. Every so often, we re-pot them, thinking that is what they need to prosper. In the forest, there is nobody there to do this. Why do orchids do so well growing on trees in the rain forest when there is nobody there to take care of them?
Because Nature just
LEAVES THEM ALONE
It is that observation that gave me an idea last night. I am going to plant my orchids on a tree inside my home.
